A Great Example of Forgiveness can be found at The Intolerance of the "Tolerant"
33 When they came to a place called The Skull, they nailed him to the cross. And the criminals were also crucified—one on his right and one on his left. 34 Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing.” And the soldiers gambled for his clothes by throwing dice. 35 The crowd watched and the leaders scoffed. “He saved others,” they said, “let him save himself if he is really God’s Messiah, the Chosen One.”
Time to get the intolerance card out.

Names you probably haven't heard before. But I wish you had because these men are martyrs, evidence that the continued martyrdom of Christians carries on as it always has.
These Christian men were held captive, tortured and murdered 6 years ago on April 18th 2007 in what is known as the Zirve Publishing House massacre, Malatya, Turkey. The suspected murderers were quickly arrested but have still not been brought to trial.

A prayer from the Catholic Church seems appropriate at this time:
God of all creation, you gave your bishop Polycarp the privilege of being counted among the saints who gave their lives in faithful witness to the gospel.Authored by Chris Hall
May his prayers give us the courage to share with him the cup of suffering and to rise to eternal glory. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.
